The library collection contains printed (books, dictionaries, encyclopedias, periodicals, magazines etc) and electronic material (multimedia cd, cd-audio, dvd-video, vcd, svcd, audio cassettes and videocassettes) amounting to approximately 5500 titles (6400 items).

The library catalogue is fully automated with ABEKT 5.0 software, designed by the National Center of Documentation.

Documents are classified according to The Dewey Decimal Classification, along with AACR2 (Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, second edition)  using the UNIMARK character set.

Dewey Decimal Classification system was invented by Melvil Dewey in 1873 and first published in 1876. It is the most popular library classification system worldwide, used in most school and public libraries.

DDC is supported, maintained and expanded by the DDC editorial office in the Library of Congress (LOC). It is divided in ten main classes, which in turn are subdivided in ten divisions each, and those in ten sections each. DDC classes are organised in relation to scientific areas or cognitive fields. As a result, the same subject can be found in various classes depending on our point of view.
