The library is open on school days and school hours until after the last term. During school holidays the library will remain closed.

All students can become library members. They are provided with a Membership Card, containing a barcode, which is valid until their graduation day. The card reveals no personal data, but is necessary for library usage and services .

Users are requested to leave their personal belongings at the entrance of the library. Silence will be kept at reading time. Smoking, eating, drinking and cell phones are prohibited .

Library material can be lent at home (exterior lending) or for school (interior lending). Users may search the library shelves for books or search the on-line catalogue on the special station next to the entrance. At any time they may ask for the teacher-librarian's help. Reference material such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, periodicals, or rare or valuable books may not be used outside the library. The same goes for the videocassettes.

Lending is automated by the ABEKT library software program. All members may borrow up to two books for fifteen days with an extension of a fortnight (as long as the material hasn't been reserved in the meantime). Users may also borrow the same books a week later .

Second-day overdue material will be charged with a virtual penalty. Three penalties in a row will uphold borrowing rights for a month. Borrowing is strictly personal and may not be transferred to another user .

Users are solely responsible for the condition of the material they borrow. Destroyed material will be replaced by the user or will be paid for according to its current value plus delivery expenses.

No material may leave the premises unless borrowed. A check-out can be necessary at any time and for any user without exception. Members are requested to show understanding and cooperate .
